Why Community Matters at EMASI Nam Long?

At EMASI Nam Long, we know that choosing an international bilingual school is about more than classrooms and curricula. It is about joining a community that listens, responds, and grows together. At EMASI Nam Long, that belief is lived every day through the simple yet powerful promise: “You Say, We Do — Improving Together.”

Parent partnerships are the foundation of student success

Our families help to build a vibrant and collaborative learning community.

Research and experience both confirm that when schools and families work as genuine partners, children thrive. At EMASI Nam Long, parent voice takes many forms; our overall goal is that it sustains an ongoing conversation. To encourage this, events like the recent Meet the SLT event create space for open dialogue on the issues that matter most to our families. As a school, we want parents to feel heard and we act on that feedback, so that trust deepens and every child’s learning environment becomes stronger.

Demystifying pathways and celebrating outcomes

EMASI Nam Long graduates open up a world of possibilities.

As a school, we believe that two-way communication and active listening are key. Recent community surveys showed that EMASI Nam Long families want to understand how their child will progress from Early Years through Secondary and what success looks like at each stage.

During the Meet the SLT event, it was a pleasure having Ms. Robyn, Ms. Nga and Mr. Daniel highlight how each stage of the school prepares students for the next. Clear explanations of the learning objectives, the expectations, and the support available at every transition are designed to help parents make important decisions about their child’s future.

At the same time, we proudly shared our outcomes — world-class university acceptances, scholarships, and the readiness of our graduates to succeed both in Vietnam and internationally. Transparency builds confidence. Celebrating results inside and outside the classroom inspires our younger learners.

Knowing every student’s journey — and challenging them to go further

We all know that no two learners are the same. With this in mind, effective education requires knowing each student’s starting point, understanding their strengths, and providing the right balance of support and challenge. This is especially true for gifted students. At EMASI Nam Long our goal is to identify talent early and create pathways that stretch high-achieving learners in individual subjects while ensuring every child receives the scaffolding they need.

During the Meet the SLT event, it was an absolute pleasure listening to the opportunities available to our students. These range from international competitions such as the International Mathematical Kangaroo, Young Writers and VEX Robotics through to local olympiads and city-level gifted and talented student competitions. It was exciting to revisit the fact that students also have access to world-class coaching for debates through our relationship with George Mason University Korea. Beyond academics, the SLT and parents were in agreement that we must prepare our graduates for a world where critical thinking and analytical skills will be essential.

Pride in being a bilingual school with a passionate community

Communication with staff, students and parents really does emphasise that we are proud to be an international bilingual Vietnamese-English school. I am happy to say that our dual- language approach does more than teach two languages; it develops globally minded young people who remain deeply rooted in Vietnamese values. I believe that our joint mission is powered by a passionate community of educators, parents and students who believe education is a shared responsibility. Visitors often comment on the positive energy they feel when they enter our campus and the engagement at parent events. For me, this, along with a tangible sense of collective pride in not only the academic outcomes but most importantly the sense of a unique, happy and supportive community, proves why community matters at EMASI Nam Long. 93.8% of our community agree with this*.
