The Cambridge Pathway

EMASI’s integrated curriculum incorporates the Cambridge Pathway across Elementary, Middle School, and High School, including Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and A-Level. This pathway is delivered within the school’s WASC-accredited learning environment.

At the Elementary and Lower Secondary levels, Cambridge programs introduce students to subject learning in English, including Mathematics, Science, and ICT. Mathematics, Science and ICT. These stages provide continuity and academic preparation for later study within the Cambridge framework.

At Upper Secondary, students may enrol in Cambridge IGCSE and, where applicable, Cambridge A-Level, based on pathway selection and academic considerations.

Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Programs

Both IGCSE and A-Level are among the most prestigious and widely accepted secondary education qualifications worldwide.

Cambridge IGCSE Program

The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is designed for students aged 14 to 16 and is widely recognized by universities and education systems internationally. At EMASI, the IGCSE program provides subject-based study that supports academic progression to Upper Secondary and prepares students for more advanced coursework in English.

Cambridge A-Level Program

The Cambridge A-Level is a two-year pre-university qualification for students in Grades 11 and 12. Students typically specialize in a selected number of subjects aligned with their academic interests and future study plans. The A-Level curriculum emphasizes subject depth, independent study, and analytical thinking, supporting preparation for university-level learning.

Throughout the A-Level program, students receive academic guidance related to subject selection, assessment preparation, and post-secondary planning as part of EMASI’s broader academic support structure.

Recognition and Academic Progression

Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level qualifications are recognized by universities in Vietnam and internationally. In some higher education systems, A-Level results may be considered for advanced standing or credit recognition, subject to individual university policies.

These programs provide students with an additional academic pathway within EMASI, particularly for those intending to continue their studies in English-language university environments.

Key advantages of the IGCSE and A-Level programs at EMASI include:

  • Access to top universities worldwide – A-Level qualifications are widely accepted by leading institutions across the globe.
  • University credit recognition – Many universities offer course exemptions or academic credits for A-Level subjects, allowing students to fast-track their undergraduate studies.
  • An immersive English-language academic environment – Students develop essential skills for university success, including information analysis, creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, preparing them for future academic and professional challenges.
