Ms. Gernim Eloise Hibionada Planas

Ms. Gep first discovered her passion for teaching when she began as a Sunday School teacher. There’s something magical about witnessing students light up when they grasp a new concept; that moment of discovery fuels her passion.

She realized she wanted to be the kind of teacher she never had—the one who not only imparts knowledge but also builds meaningful connections with students. She strives to be someone who understands their emotions, respects their perspectives, and creates a classroom environment where they feel safe, valued, and heard. For her, teaching is about fostering curiosity and empowering students in their learning journey.

Ms. Gep’s advice to students is simple: always keep your heart open to learning and growth. The world is full of opportunities to learn, both inside and outside the classroom. Don’t be afraid to take risks—that’s often where the most valuable lessons lie. Every mistake is a stepping stone toward discovery. Be true to yourself and avoid comparing your success to others. Focus on your personal journey and celebrate your progress, no matter how small. Remember, we teachers are here to guide and support you every step of the way. We’re rooting for your success!
