Mr Michael Deveney

Mr. Michael Deveney is a highly respected educational leader with a distinguished career spanning various international schools across Vietnam as well as other countries such as Kuwait, Japan, Thailand, and Myanmar. Notably, he served as the Head of School at Makuhari International School in Japan (2014 – 2018) where he successfully integrated the Japanese Ministry of Education curriculum with the English National Curriculum. He was also the Founding Principal of BVIS HCMC (2010 – 2014), Head of Secondary School at BIS HCMC (2004 – 2010), and Head of Secondary School, Acting Principal, and Senior Management Team member at The Regent’s School, Pattaya (1996 – 2004) where he oversaw operational planning and organisation at the school, including the boarding section.

With a deep commitment to fostering excellence in education, Mr. Deveney’s guidance will be enormously beneficial in EMASI’s effort to create an integrated bilingual program that incorporates the MOET curriculum and the Cambridge International curriculum, as well as the IGCSE and A Level programs. Additionally, his expertise shall help unleash the potential of our comprehensive learning environment, assisting our students in integrating into the wider world.
