Dr Scott Wiens

Dr. Scott has been a school counselor and teacher for over thirty years in the United States, Switzerland, China, Thailand, and Vietnam. He teaches English courses and is the University Counselor at EMASI Nam Long. Dr. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota in Social Studies Education, his master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Wisconsin, and his doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Scott is passionate about university counseling and about making sure his students are prepared for the rigors of a university setting. In the classroom, he wants to make sure that non-native English speakers can navigate reading, writing, and speaking in English. He especially wants to make sure they can write and conduct research. In the university realm, he wants to make sure that students find a university that meets their needs and desires and is attainable.
