Early Years Program

Designed to meet the developmental needs of children aged 2 to 6, the EMASI Early Years Program combines best practices in Early Years education, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework from the UK, Montessori approaches, and play-based learning, while following the areas of learning set by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

Starting in August 2026, in alignment with our commitment to developing confident English language skills from a foundational age, this integrated curriculum will be delivered in English by experienced teachers.

EMASI is a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS) and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), ensuring high-quality education and global recognition. This enables our teachers to confidently deliver a Montessori inspired approach to Early Years learning.

An Integrated Approach to Learning and Development

Our curriculum is structured to ensure a well-rounded and inquiry-driven foundation to learning. By integrating the internationally recognized standards of the EYFS and the National Curriculum from England with the core objectives of the MOET curriculum, we ensure students meet rigorous milestones that provide a seamless academic progression toward the Cambridge International Framework in Primary.

Areas of Learning:

  • Language
  • Mathematics
  • Cognitive Development
  • Emotional, Social Skills, and Aesthetic Development
  • Physical Development

English Language Development and Academic Foundation

We provide a holistic education that nurtures the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—while preparing them for the next stage of their schooling, through:

  • English Immersion with Bilingual Support: Although lessons are conducted in English, every class continues to benefit from bilingual support through our dedicated and highly trained Teaching Assistants. This ensures a smooth transition while celebrating our bilingual identity.
  • Pre-Nursery Care: For our youngest learners, bilingual staff cater sensitively to their developmental needs, ensuring they feel secure while engaging with the English-language curriculum.
  • Literacy and Phonics: Our approach includes a systematic synthetic phonics curriculum validated by the UK Department for Education, equipping students with the essential skills required for future academic excellence.

A Learning Environment Designed for Early Years

The Early Years environment at EMASI is safe, well-organized, and designed for exploration. Open classroom layouts encourage children to interact freely with peers and teachers through play and movement.

Montessori-inspired materials are integrated to support independence, sensory development, and early problem-solving. Across all classes, we maintain an excellent student-to-adult ratio, ensuring a high standard of individualized care for every child.
