Mr. Kenneth Haggarty is a highly accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in British and international education, including the CIS accreditation process. Having worked in British international schools in South East Asia and the Middle East for the majority of his career, Mr. Haggarty has experience of working with a diverse student body. He is consequently well acquainted with the benefits of bilingual education. Mr. Haggarty’s dedication to student achievement extends beyond academics, he places great importance on the pastoral well-being of students, having managed various teams of senior and middle leaders to ensure a supportive and enriching environment. His experience with The Council of International Schools (CIS) further highlights his expertise in educational leadership.

Professional Accomplishments:

Mr. Haggarty is a Council of International Schools (CIS) Accreditation Team Chair, Team Member, and Report Reader who has successfully led his current school through the full Accreditation process.

Recognition as the first recipient of the CIS Teacher of the Year award.

Under his leadership, Oryx International School in Qatar has undergone significant expansion, growing from 156 students in 2019 to 770 currently.

Involvement in establishing A-level courses and preparing 100 students for tertiary education.

Introduction of new subjects and expanded choice at IGCSE and A-level, including fast-track programs for ambitious learners and increased capacity in Modern Foreign Languages.

Notable achievement of “First in the World” by the school’s students in respective subjects during the most recent GCSE examination.
