Middle School/Lower Secondary Program

The EMASI Middle School/Lower Secondary Program, spanning Grades 6 to 9, offers an integrated curriculum that combines the strengths of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) framework with the internationally recognized Cambridge program. Integrated academic subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), are complemented by Cambridge Music, Art/Drama, Physical Education, Swimming, and EMASI special Library program, all delivered in a bilingual format within a fully WASC-accredited learning environment.

This integrated approach ensures students meet the academic standards of both educational systems. Through innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and flipped classrooms, the program equips students with self-learning skills, creative and critical thinking, technological proficiency, effective communication, artistic appreciation, and strong problem-solving abilities to become confident, capable, and adaptable learners in a rapidly changing world.

Upon completing the Middle School Program at EMASI, students will earn the following qualifications:

  • Cambridge Key English Test (KET)
  • Cambridge Checkpoint Certificates
  • Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET)
  • MOET Middle School Diploma

A Future-Ready Academic Pathway & The Cambridge IGCSE Program at EMASI

At EMASI, students in Grades 6 to 9 follow a bilingual integrated curriculum that offers the best of the MOET standards and the internationally respected Cambridge Curriculum Framework. This strong foundation prepares students for various academic options in upper secondary.

In Grade 9, with strong academic performance and English proficiency, students have the opportunity to pursue the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) program, an internationally recognized qualification that broadens academic perspectives and opens doors to international higher education opportunities. The IGCSE courses are studied across two years, with final assessments taken at the end of Grade 10. The IGCSE pathway is designed for students seeking to deepen their academic experience in English and challenge themselves through rigorous coursework and assessments.

At the same time, all students complete the MOET curriculum, earning the MOET Middle School Diploma after Grade 9.
